Episode 59 - We celebrate Back to the Future day by talking about what we expect to happen in 2015 since we are clearly living in 1985 and look forward to the demise of that newfangled New Wave music.
Please look into completing your orders for the limited edition Talking About Noise (TBN) Spandex to celebrate this holiday.
In the news we talk about Politicians using artists music without permission, and then we talk about whether artists are making any money period. We are still open to starting our business of writing knockoff pop songs that politicians can use, so send in your resumes today.
In the songwriting segment we discuss one of the top 100 songwriters of all time (according to Rolling Stone) and this week we discuss Paul Simon. We decide to break down his song written with Art Garfunkel "Cecilia." Once again another good song with an interesting composition structure from which we can learn some valuable lessons, the first of which being, have a love affair that you can actually write about.
